The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has announced a new official stance regarding the country’s President, marking a notable development in the current political climate. In a press conference held on Sunday, party officials outlined their updated position, emphasizing the importance of constitutional integrity and institutional balance.
According to PDK representatives, the President’s role must remain above daily political disputes and should serve as a unifying figure for all citizens. The party stressed that recent political dynamics have made it necessary to clarify their expectations and approach toward the head of state. They highlighted the need for transparency, accountability, and strict adherence to constitutional responsibilities.
PDK further called for increased cooperation between the Presidency and other key state institutions, including the government and the assembly. Party officials stated that constructive dialogue is essential to avoid political deadlock and to safeguard the country’s democratic processes.
In its statement, PDK also reiterated its commitment to protecting national interests and strengthening Kosovo’s international position. The party concluded by urging all political actors to act responsibly and prioritize stability during what it described as a sensitive period for the country’s future.
