President Osmani Gives Political Parties Deadline for Key Decision

Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, has given the country’s political parties a deadline to reach an agreement on crucial political matters, urging them to act responsibly and prioritize the stability of the country.

According to the Presidency, Osmani called on party leaders to intensify discussions and find common ground before the set deadline. She stressed that Kosovo’s institutions must function normally and that political actors have a responsibility toward citizens and the democratic process.

The President warned that continued political deadlock could negatively affect the country’s governance and reform agenda. She emphasized that Kosovo is facing important challenges and opportunities, particularly in strengthening democratic institutions and advancing international partnerships.

Osmani also reiterated that the Presidency remains committed to facilitating dialogue between political forces if necessary. However, she made it clear that the responsibility ultimately lies with the political parties to reach an agreement within the given timeframe.

Further developments are expected in the coming days as party leaders hold consultations to determine their next steps before the deadline set by the President.
